About the property…

Le Refuge de Lucien is a two-storey, semi-detached chalet for up to 10 guests. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The ground floor is the perfect place to get together after a busy day in the mountains. The  living area has a cosy seating area with a TV and fireplace, a large dining table and a well-equipped, open-plan kitchen. There’s also a dartboard and table football. Two French doors open onto a terrace with a table and a hot tub. A double bedroom on this floor has access to a bathroom featuring a shower, bath and double sink.

On the first floor, you’ll find the three remaining bedrooms: two double rooms, each with its own shower, and a children’s room with two sets of bunk beds, an arcade games machine, and a mini pool table. This floor also has a sauna, as well as a games room with a floor net overlooking the ground floor dining table.

On the practical side, there are toilets on each floor, and the ground floor laundry room is equipped with a washing machine and dryer.

Gérardmer, the “Pearl of the Vosges”, is located in eastern France, near La Bresse and Épinal. Nestled among pine forests and rolling mountains, the town stretches along the shores of a stunning natural lake. Gérardmer, which was awarded the “Famille Plus” label, is popular with families, nature lovers and sports enthusiasts, thanks to its friendly atmosphere and beautiful countryside that is perfect for relaxing and exploring. Its lively centre has a good choice of shops and restaurants as well as a local market, making it an ideal destination all year round.

In winter, snow sports enthusiasts flock to the town’s La Mauselaine resort, which has 21 ski slopes and 30km of cross-country ski trails. The surrounding plateaus are ideal for snowshoeing or winter hiking. Younger visitors will enjoy the toboggan runs and the charm of the village, which is lit up for the season, bringing a warm and festive atmosphere.

During the rest of the year, Lake Gérardmer is the centre of attention. Visitors and locals can enjoy swimming, sailing, canoeing and paddleboarding, while hiking and biking trails wind through the Vosges forest, offering superb views. Festivals, craft markets and lakeside walks add to the delights of the summer season.
